Method 1 : Format through windows disk management

Follow the below steps to fix unable to format disk in windows.

  • Right click on “My computer” or ‘This PC‘.

  • Now find the drive which is your usb stick or sd card you want to format and right click on it.

  • Select File system as FAT32 or Ex-FAT.

Method 2 : Use command prompt to format sd card or usb drive

If the above method didn’t work for you then try this method to format via command line.

  • Go to run.
  • write cmd and press enter.
  • A new command prompt window will open.
  • Type format d:/fs:ntfs (d: is the drive letter of partition that you want to format) and press “Enter”.
  • It may take some time.

  1. CMD Show that SD Card is formatted sucessfuly. but SD card is not formatted. for your kind info SD card is not write protected. i had try many methods but fails every time. plzzz help me.
